1) Why do we need to make a reservation? Can I visit M+ without a reservation?

Owing to high anticipated demand, to ensure smooth admission for visitors, online reservations for timed admission are strongly recommended for museum visits. Reservations can be made online from 6 November 2021 at 10am on the WKCD and M+ websites, and through the WKCD mobile application. Registration for a series of public opening programmes will also be available on M+ website and WKCD mobile application.

2) Can I enter M+ immediately with reservation?

A successful appointment to visit the museum does not guarantee that visitors will be able to enter M+ and its galleries within the specified timeslots. During peak hours, visitors may have to wait before entry to the museum and its galleries. Walk-in visits will be subject to availability. Please follow our staff members’ instructions.

3) When can I make reservation for my visit?

Online reservations will be open to public from 10am on 6 November 2021. Reservations will be on a first come, first-served basis.

4) Can I make a reservation on the visit day?

Yes, you can make a reservation on the day of your visit, subject to availability. M+ strongly recommends visitors to make their reservations in advance.

5) Do M+ Member and M+ Patron require to make reservation?

M+ Members and M+ Patrons do not need reservations. Please present a valid membership card for entry. M+ Patrons may bring three guests with them per museum visit.

6) What information is required for reservation?

The visitor’s name, phone number, and a valid email address are required. Visitors will receive a confirmation email once they have successfully completed the reservation form.

7) Upon admission, how would the staff verify my identity? Any unique reservation number is available?

Visitors are required to present the confirmation email for verification at the entrance.

8) Can I use the same email address for more than one reservation?

Yes, you may use the same email address for multiple reservations.

9) How can I make a reservation if I do not have an email address?

If you do not have an email address, you are welcome to visit M+ as a walk-in visitor, but admission cannot be guaranteed if the museum reaches its capacity.

10) Can I include friends or family members in a single reservation?

Yes, you can make a reservation for a maximum of 4 visitors at the same time. Children ages 6 or below does not need a reservation.

11) Can members of my party enter at separate times?

No, all visitors in same reservation must enter M+ at the same time. If you will be entering the museum at different times, you are required to make separate reservations for your entry.

12) How do I confirm I have successfully made a reservation?

Once the reservation completed, confirmation will be shown on the webpage. You will also receive a confirmation email.

13) What should I do if I could not receive the confirmation email after reservation?

Please note that the confirmation email may be sent to the junk email box. If you have completed the reservation form but have not received the confirmation email, please make a new reservation. Walk-in visits will be subject to availability.

14) Can I still visit M+ if I lose the confirmation email?

The confirmation email cannot be reissued. If you lost your confirmation email, please make a new reservation. Walk-in visits will be subject to availability.

15) What do I need to present when visiting M+?

Visitors with reservations should present their confirmation email for verification. M+ Members and M+ Patrons can present their valid membership cards for entry.

16) Can I reschedule or cancel my reservation? Any limitation on the changes?

You may cancel or amend your reservation in “My bookings” on the reservation platform.

17) Can I amend my reservation if I selected a wrong visit date or input wrong information?

You can make changes on the confirmation page after making the reservation or through the link in your confirmation email.

18) Is the reservation transferable?

The reservation is not transferable.

19) Can I visit M+ earlier or later than my reserved visit time?

Please arrive M+ in your reserved timeslot. If you arrive later than your reserved timeslot, entry will be subject to availability.

20) On the reservation page, it is shown that the duration is two hours. Does it mean that I only have two hours to visit M+?

The two-hour period on the reservation form indicates admission time only. You may enter M+ any time within the two-hour period you have reserved. Once you have entered M+, you may stay until the museum’s closing time.

21) What should I do if the reservation is full on my preferred visit timeslots?

You are highly recommended to reschedule your visit to another day on which reservation is available. We can accommodate a limited number of walk-in visitors without reservations.

22) I have made reservation for my visit. Upon arrival, am I still required to either scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” QR code at the entrance or provide name and phone number for record?

You are still required to either scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” QR code or provide name and phone number for record at the museum entrance.

23) What should I do if I need to leave M+ for a while and re-enter within the day? Do I need to make another reservation or arrival registration for my re-entry?

You are not required to make another reservation for re-entry to M+ on the same day. Please present the confirmation email for re-entry verification. Admission will be subject to availability.

24) Is there any group visit arrangement?

In light of COVID-19 infection control measures, currently we are not accepting group visits. Please stay tuned for further updates.

25) What is the arrangement on or after 29 November 2021?

We will review the arrangement according to the reservation of the first two weeks. Details of the arrangement on or after 29 November will be announced in due course.

26) Is it necessary for me to subscribe to West Kowloon Cultural District and M+ e-Newsletter to make a reservation?

You can choose whether to subscribe to West Kowloon Cultural District and M+ e-Newsletter according to your needs.
