Feng Mengbo uses computer technology to construct digital models of his ideal Chinese landscape paintings. After extracting textures and strokes he appreciates from classic works, he applies them to his models and prints them in gold on a large canvas, creating an attractive digital landscape painting. Rather than standing against tradition, Feng’s use of technology offers an interpretation of tradition.
