Modified books 手工書刊

Modified books are the artist books of Ha Bik Chuen which he made by juxtaposing found imageries and/or texts together by means of collage, loose-leaf inserts, or bookbinding. The source material he chooses comes from books, magazines, newspapers, and personal sketches which contains information such as current affairs, art knowledge, to personal muse. Ha often categorises these modified books based on thematic groupings and signs his name on them. In Ha’s studio, the modified books are found dispersed among other materials like exhibition documentation and photo albums. There are some 300 modified books.
