(24 Mar night session) Expressive Arts Therapy Experiential Workshop:
My Heart with Many Emotions (Tertiary Student Programme)
Join an experiential expressive arts therapy workshop at M+. Inspired by the works of Yayoi Kusama, the workshop encourages everyone to express their emotions through visual arts and connect with nature.
This workshop is for full-time students from local tertiary institutions. Please present a valid student card for admission.
Explore your emotions through different art modalities and reconnect with mother nature in this expressive arts therapy workshop.
Depicting organic forms from nature like flowers and clouds, Yayoi Kusama's works often express the endless vitality of life. Taking reference from Kusama's poems and paintings, registered Art Therapist Terrence Zee will take you on a self-discovery journey. Under a safe and welcoming environment, you will express your emotions and understand your potential through visual arts and creative writing based on the theme of nature. Connect your body, mind, and soul with those around you and realise your given source of power.
Expressive Arts Therapy is an integrative application of visual arts, dance, music, drama, and poetry to foster deeper personal growth and healing, and promote community development. It is based on the fundamental belief that the arts is a resource for healing.
