This series comprises approximately 152 items on kung fu or action films mainly produced in Hong Kong between the 1950s and 1960s.

This series consists of posters, stills, synopses, and other ephemera, providing a clue to the starting point of Hong Kong action filmmaking infused with heroic figures such as Wong Fei Hung in shades of Confucian morals. Some of the most classic movies in the series include Wong Fei-Hung’s Battle With the Five Tigers in the Boxing Ring (1958) produced by Kwan Tak Hing, How Wong Fei-Hung and Wife Eradicated the Three Rascals (1958) starring one of the renowned film action actress, Wu Li-zhu, and Wong Fei-Hung Saves the Kidnapped Leung Foon (1958) which is notable for demonstrating authentic Chinese martial arts. This series is arranged chronologically, according to the dates of release in Hong Kong.
