1985–1988

Song Huai-Kuei’s unfailing fashion sense was reflected in the clothes she chose for different occasions. This sleeveless dress with an abstract floral print is a perfect blend of professionalism and style. It has a detachable choir-boy collar set off by the playful two-tier pleated skirt at the bottom. A photograph from late August 1988, on display in the case opposite this dress, also shows Song in the same outfit. Song wore the dress for an interview during the first edition of Dalian Fashion Festival, an event intended to connect fashion professionals from all over the world to foster intercultural exchange.
