A Journey through the Lo Yuk Ying Photographs
A Journey through the Lo Yuk Ying Photographs
The collection of Lo Yuk Ying Photographs comprises a group of 112 portraits that were originally featured in the ‘Celebrity Exposure’ column in City Entertainment Magazine between 1977 to 1986. Through her lens, Lo captured the unique facets of various individuals in the Hong Kong film industry, including filmmakers, cameramen, martial arts instructors, still photographers, lighting personnel, producers, scriptwriters, composers, music editors, singers, actors, actresses, and directors. This collection documents the way that Lo captured individuals and provides another side of Hong Kong movie industry participants. During the upcoming event, Lo and M+ Curator-at-large of Hong Kong Film and Media Li Cheuk-to will share highlights from the collection and story behind the photographs. Participants will have the opportunity to explore rare materials alongside the two speakers.
