How can art foster self-compassion and awareness during life changes?

‘Self-Exploration Through Art: M+ Guided Tour and Creative Workshop’ is a collaborative event between M+ and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), featured as part of ‘Compassionate Fortnight 2025’. Through this programme, we invite you to embrace the present by engaging with and making art, and to discover how your unique qualities and values can shape your choices in the future.

During the event, M+ Educators will first lead you through the exhibition M+ Sigg Collection: Inner Worlds, exploring how Chinese contemporary artists capture and reflect on their daily lives in an ever-changing world and how they express a diverse range of emotions through their art. Afterwards, you are guided to examine the significance of the small yet meaningful objects you have brought with you, and uncover new ways of cherishing the moments they represent, as well as the invisible connections you hold with them.

This event is free of charge. Click here to register.

About the Programme

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, together with organisations focused on end-of-life care, will host ‘Compassionate Fortnight 2025’ from 25 October to 9 November.

The main event will take place at MOSTown on 1 and 2 November. This intiative invites the public, especially caregivers, to engage their loved ones in meaningful conversations and action around life management. Join us and other community stakeholders in building a compassionate community together.

Some of the events under this initiative are subvented by the Social Welfare Department, including this ‘Self-Exploration Through Art: M+ Guided Tour and Creative Workshop’.
