‘Cross-Cuts’:
Screening and Artists’ Talk
How can we explore a museum collection through digital storytelling to unearth stories that only M+ can tell?
Cross-Cuts, the latest M+ digital commission initiative, explores the narratives hidden within the M+ Collections in five compelling short films and essays. Serving as a platform to support emerging local talent, each film explores an intimate yet universal that reflect the contradictions of contemporary existence.
To celebrate the launch of this project, M+ will host a special screening of the short films followed by a post-screening artists’ talk with filmmaker Kinglun Yeung and writer Hong Zeng, moderated by Sewon Chung, Head of Digital Content and Initiatives at M+. Following the event, registered guests will be invited to a drinks reception featuring a vinyl programme curated by Gilles Vanderstocken.
