Dance away at M+! Discover unique ways to appreciate the museum's spaces and works from our latest exhibitions through dancing!
Collaborating with the School of Dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for the third consecutive year, ‘Dance Well @ M+ 2025’ returns to you for a re-edition of the creative movement programme that invites those living with Parkinson's disease and their companions, and people of different ages and abilities to dance together in the immersive environment of the museum. Drawn from our latest exhibitions, teaching artists of Dance Well have developed a brand-new series of dance activities. Participants can move their bodies according to their own physical conditions and respond to the special sensory experiences in the museum. By exploring creative dance steps, they will communicate with others using body language.
This eight-week dance workshop is a journey of transformation. Participants may turn their bodily limitations into opportunities for change and find improvements in rhythm, flexibility, and balance. It is also an opportunity for participants to express themselves through art and redefine their perception of body image.
Conducted in Cantonese, the workshop consists of eight one-hour sessions over the course of eight weeks. Dance Well teaching artists will dance with participants in different venues at M+. Participants can join guided tours of the museum after two out of the eight sessions, which are 30 minutes long and led by M+ Educators.
