This activity is suitable for children of all ages to participate with an adult. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Participants must remove their shoes and wear socks to enter the West Gallery. Shoes may be placed on the shoe rack. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Strollers must be parked outside the entrance of the West Gallery. Participants should queue on-site as guided. Participants who are pregnant or have mobility difficulties may reach out to our staff for special arrangements.
During the session, the artists will invite participants to move their bodies and interact with the works on display. We recommend that both children and adults wear comfortable clothing to move freely and enjoy the experience. If assistance is needed, please reach out to our on-site staff.
If the gallery reaches capacity, children and adults may be asked to queue and wait for the next available session. Our staff will do their best to arrange entry as soon as possible.
Can art be felt through the body? This activity is specially designed for the Special Exhibition Dream Rooms: Environments by Women Artists 1950s—Now, inviting both children and adults to embark on a dreamlike sensory journey, stepping into a wonderland.
Led by the artist duo L N T Creation, participants will engage in creative movement and interact with large, rainbow-like immersive works on display. As they wander through the gallery’s dreamscapes, they are encouraged to connect with the art through their bodies.
Starting from their own physical sensations, participants are invited to explore the works through sight, sound, and touch, unlocking new and imaginative ways of experiencing art beyond the visual. It is a rediscovery of endless possibilities of artistic appreciation through the senses and from within.
About the Artist
L N T Creation was co-founded by artists Liz Tsui and Tiffany Lo, both graduates of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in dance. In recent years, they have been dedicated to promoting the development of body movement and arts education. Collaborating with various arts institutions, schools, and social service organisations, they use creative movement and artistic media to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to express themselves, share ideas, and co-create through the body.
In their creative movement sessions, children and adults will explore the exhibition through sensory interaction with the works on display. Participants are guided to express their feelings through body movement, helping them connect with themselves—and with the world around them.
