Family Drop-in:
Toddler Morning

This activity is exclusively for young children aged 3 or under and their accompanying adults. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult. Adults are required to hold a M+ Ticket for entry, while young children may enter for free. Please see ‘Event Arrangements’ for more details.

Participants must remove their shoes and wear socks to enter the West Gallery. Shoes may be placed on the shoe rack. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Strollers must be parked outside the entrance of the West Gallery. Participants should queue on-site as guided. Participants who are pregnant or have mobility difficulties may reach out to our staff for special arrangements.

The activity takes place from 9:00 to 10:00 inside the West Gallery.

After the session, participants are welcome to continue exploring the West Gallery and join other drop-in activities. Participants may also visit all exhibitions with their ticket; tickets must be presented before entering the galleries.

For the very first time, the museum is opening its doors before regular hours just for families with children aged 3 and under! A magical, interactive experience awaits where little ones can explore, play, and imagine freely in a calm and welcoming space.

Inspired by the Special Exhibition Dream Rooms: Environments by Women Artists 1950sNow, this programme invites participants to wander through large-scale art installations and interact with light, sound, and moving images. Through tactile and sensory exploration, toddlers are encouraged to discover and engage with the world around them.

In addition to exploring the exhibition at their own pace, families can enjoy drop-in activities including artist-led music and creative movement sessions. These experiences help young participants connect with their bodies, voices, and surroundings—fostering self-awareness and meaningful connections through play and art.

M+ Educators will also become storytellers, sharing tales about dreams, birth, and the body. During this dedicated hour, both children and adults can fully immerse themselves in an imaginative parent-child experience.

About the Artists

Lau Chun Ho (HakGwai) is a musician specialising in folk instruments. As an experienced concert performer, he has taken part in a wide range of musical productions and has overseen music theatre projects.

Passionate about indigenous musical instrument education, he was inspired by the handpan and didgeridoo, which led him to explore the connection between breath, music, and mindfulness. From this exploration, he developed the set ‘Musical Meditation’, which guides participants to perform using their own voice and breath.

L N T Creation was co-founded by artists Liz Tsui and Tiffany Lo, both graduates of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in dance. In recent years, they have been dedicated to promoting the development of body movement and arts education. Collaborating with various arts institutions, schools, and social service organisations, they use creative movement and artistic media to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to express themselves, share ideas, and co-create through the body.

In their creative movement sessions, children and adults will explore the exhibition through sensory interaction with the works on display. Participants are guided to express their feelings through body movement, helping them connect with themselves and with the world around them.
