Lee Bul and Doryun Chong In Conversation:
Rethinking Utopia
How does artist Lee Bul respond to an ever-changing world and reimagine the meaning of utopia? What drives her to create continuously across materials, forms, and narratives? The exhibition Lee Bul: From 1998 to Now surveys nearly three decades of the artist’s ongoing practice, presenting works that range from small drawings and scaled maquettes to large sculptural environments.
In this opening talk, we delve into the artist’s creative landscape. Hear from Lee Bul as she reflects on her practice and artistic thinking, in conversation with Doryun Chong, M+ Artistic Director and Chief Curator, and curator of the exhibition. Together, they will unfold the process of bringing this exhibition’s vision to life.
This talk will be held in English and Korean. Simultaneous interpretation in Cantonese will be available.
