Guernica in Sand’
Participation is free of charge, and no pre-registration is required prior to the event date. Please see Event Arrangements for more details.
For the second part of Lee Mingwei’s presentation of Guernica in Sand, the artist returns, alongside three collaborators, to finish the work. Visitors are welcome to stay and watch this performance throughout the day inside the Studio. At specific times during the performance, visitors will be invited to participate by walking on the sand one at a time, blurring the image at the same time as it is being completed. As the performance comes to a close, the artist and his collaborators will sweep the sand into a new configuration.
