Sigg Prize 2025 Finalists in Conversation
How can technology in art practices offer new ways of revisiting regional histories and power dynamics? What are the advantages to using specific materials to channel individual and cultural narratives? Can art allow us to explore our inner worlds through innovative means? Why does it matter to us today? Join us for conversations with Sigg Prize 2025 Finalists, Bi Rongrong, Ho Rui An, Hsu Chia-Wei, Heidi Lau, Pan Daijing, Wong Ping, and exhibition co-curators Ariadne Long, Associate Curator at M+, and Pauline J. Yao, guest curator as they reflect on their latest artistic practices, navigating our ever-changing world.
Established by M+ in 2018 and awarded biennially, the Sigg Prize recognises artists born or working in the Greater China region and its diasporas. It highlights and promotes on an international scale the important artistic practices and discussion taking place. For each edition of the prize, a jury comprised of leading international professionals selects six artists based on their oeuvre over the past two years. The finalists are invited to present their latest works in the Sigg Prize exhibition at M+ before the winner is selected.
