Be engrossed in Lee Mingwei: Guernica in Sand before the museum’s opening hours, complemented by the sounds of singing bowls.

When we encounter a large-scale art installation, one might wonder where and how to start looking—how do we connect with its story, intricate details, and the space in which it is exhibited? In this wellbeing workshop, mindfulness instructor Lau Tin Ming invites you to observe the sand painting Lee Mingwei: Guernica in Sand from different perspectives and a sensory experience accompanied by a singing bowl sound bath. Through the practice of breathing, stretching, and mindful hearing, you will heighten your senses in your thoughts and emotions, reconnecting with your inner self and the surroundings. Explore the moments with mindful stretching and deep looking exercises to enrich your art appreciation experience at M+.
