Well-Loving

Is love all-powerful? Is it blind? Can it ever be contained by a single form?
In today’s world, where living well on our own seems feasible, speaking of ‘love’ can feel almost old-fashioned. Yet love is what teaches us to reach out—to build connections that shape who we are and who we become together. By knowing ourselves and understanding others, we slowly learn how to live together. We hope that the museum, as a space for dialogue, can be a place where we find one another again—where we learn the gentle art of loving ourselves and loving others, with care and respect.
This year, under the theme ‘Well-Loving’, we invite you—fellow seekers of love—to explore why love still matters and how we might discover a wiser, deeper approach to love. In the M+ at Night May and June editions, the Young Collective volunteers will guide participants through the M+ Sigg Collection: Inner Worlds exhibition, drawing inspiration from the artworks to see how artists capture love in its many forms and to rediscover, in art and in life, the delicate balance between self and others.
This event will take place during M+ at Night: Imaginary Futurescapes and M+ at Night: Poetic Pulse. Please visit the webpages for more details.
About M+ Young Collective
M+ Young Collective is a group of curious, passionate, and dedicated young volunteers who come together with M+ Educators, to challenge preconceived ideas, bring creativity to life, and exchange ideas. They explore how M+, a space for display and social participation, can connect the museum’s exhibitions and collections with the daily life experience of young people and their thoughts. They will also showcase and share their findings in museum public spaces.
