Directed by artist Nam June Paik, this experimental video highlights his friendship and creative exchange with a young Ryuichi Sakamoto. Through interviews with renowned figures, including Laurie Anderson, John Cage, Charlotte Moorman, and Julian Beck, the work captures these artists’ collaborative spirit, an important mindset that shaped their art and personal relationships.

Nam June Paik (South Korean, 1932–2006) was a pioneer of technology-based art. He studied musicology at university and later expanded his practice to include performance, moving image, video sculptures, and installations. Known for his experimental, collaborative, and interdisciplinary approach, he was a key member of the Fluxus art movement and a perceptive thinker who envisioned the future of art making and communication in the digital age.
