This exhibition brings together new and recent works by artists shortlisted for the Sigg Prize 2027. Established in 2018 by M+, this prestigious prize is open to artists born or working in the Greater China region and its diasporas. It aims to recognise important artistic practices in the region and to promote the strength and diversity of Chinese artists in the global arena. The exhibition will showcase the works of six leading contemporary artists selected by an international jury. The winner of the Sigg Prize 2027 will be announced in early 2028.

The Sigg Prize 2027 jury is chaired by Suhanya Raffel (Museum Director, M+, Hong Kong) with members Cao Fei (Artist, Beijing), Christophe Cherix (David Rockefeller Director, Museum of Modern Art, New York), Ann Demeester (Director, Kunsthaus Zürich), Gong Yan (Director, Power Station of Art, Shanghai), Mami Kataoka (Director, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo), and Uli Sigg (Collector and Member of the M+ Board, Sigg Collection, Mauensee).

The past winners of the Sigg Prize are Samson Young (2019), Wang Tuo (2023), and Heidi Lau and Wong Ping (2025).
