路的盡頭──寮民遙望香港這片殖民地的景色。近百萬名滯留香港的難民無望返回中國故鄉村落，並成了香港最大的問題。居民不久後或有望搬離這些破爛的房子，以每月三十港幣租住新建廉價寄宿舍。鑑於寮民居住環境惡劣，火警頻生。社福機構事後為五名火災受害人提供免費膳食，並在他們覓到新的寄宿處前，提供舒適的地方居住。可是，對於難民營內另外三十多萬人來說，這裏便是他們的家。 The End of the Road—Squatters' colony vista. Nearly a million refugees in Hong Kong have no prospect of returning to their native villages in China, and they have become Hong Kong's biggest problem. There is hope that in the near future these tattered dewellings may give way to new cheap lodgings to rent for 30 HK dollars per month. There are frequent fires because of the condition of the squatters' 'homes'. Social welfare provides free meals for five victims and they are decently housed until they find new lodgings - but for some 300,000 others, this is home.
