Set in the context of late 1960s civil unrest and violence in Indonesia, this period drama traces the story of a young woman named Nana. Nana feels trapped by patriarchal norms and suffers silently, until one day she discovers friendship in an unexpected place. Adapted from the first chapter of the biographical Jais Darga Namaku (My Name is Jais Darga) by Ahda Imran, the film is based on the true story of a woman who lived in West Java during the 1960s. Her films have been screened at several festivals, including the Berlinale, the Tokyo International Film Festival, and the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and have won many awards.
