An Impossible Project

In a world of digital deluge, where information appears free, services are available at the push of a button, and technology offers intoxicating convenience, is it possible to fall back in love with analogue?

An Impossible Project traces the love affair between Dr Florian Kaps, nicknamed Doc, and analogue creations after he rescued the last Polaroid factory in the Netherlands from destruction. Doc proves that the analogue enchants with more than simple nostalgia. His endeavour entails a vision of keeping a choice alive, one that offers tangible interactions between humans and objects. An Impossible Project reconnects audiences to the analogue world with patches of discolouration, woody aromas of ink on paper, and crackling sounds from turntables.
