About the Director

Terry Zwigoff (b. 1949, United States) is an American director, producer, writer, and composer who began his filmmaking career with Howard Armstrong's documentary Louie Bluie (1985). He garnered attention with the critically acclaimed Crumb (1994), which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival, among other notable awards. Zwigoff then turned to directing fiction features, such as the Academy Award–nominated Ghost World (2001) and black comedy Bad Santa (2003).
