Suhanya Raffel is the Museum Director of M+. Since her appointment in 2016, she has overseen all museum activities, including acquisitions, programming, collections care, development, research, institutional collaborations, and museum operations. Raffel has defined the museum’s mission, broadening its international reach and championing its deep connection with the local community.

Before joining M+, Raffel was the Director of Collections and then Deputy Director at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW), Sydney, Australia (2013–2016). She has held many senior curatorial positions, including Deputy Director of Curatorial and Collection Development from 2010 and Acting Director in 2012 at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, Australia (1994–2013). There, she was instrumental in building the contemporary Asia Pacific collection and led its Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art.

Doryun Chong is the Artistic Director and Chief Curator at M+. Chong oversees all curatorial activities and programmes, including collections, exhibitions, learning and public programmes, publications, and digital initiatives across the museum’s three main disciplinary areas of design and architecture, moving image, and visual art.

He has curated and overseen critically acclaimed exhibitions for M+, including Noguchi for Danh Vo: Counterpoint (2018), Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now (2022, with Mika Yoshitake), and Picasso for Asia—A Conversation (2025, with François Dareau). He has also helped organise and supervise the five editions of Hong Kong’s participation in the Venice Biennale from 2015 to 2024.

Prior to joining M+, Chong worked at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. He curated several landmark exhibitions during that time, including Tokyo 1955–1970: A New Avant-Garde (2012) at MoMA, and Tetsumi Kudo: Garden of Metamorphosis (2008), and House of Oracles: A Huang Yong Ping Retrospective (2005) at the Walker Art Center.

Keri Ryan is the Associate Director, Learning and Interpretation at M+.  As part of the Curatorial department, she leads the team that is responsible for the learning and interpretation strategy across the museum, including exhibition planning and school, family, youth, community, and adult programmes. Prior to joining M+, Ryan was the Director of Learning and Interpretation at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Canada where she spent 12 years leading innovative audience-centred strategies for exhibitions and the permanent collection.

Dr Uli Sigg worked as a journalist and has held top executive positions at the Schindler Group. In 1980, he established the first joint venture between China and the West and was appointed ambassador to China, North Korea, and Mongolia in 1995. Currently, he is Vice President of the Ringier Media Group and a member of the Advisory Board of China Development Bank.

In 2012, Dr Sigg transferred over 1,500 works from his collection—the world’s most substantial collection of Chinese contemporary art—to M+. In 1998, he established the Chinese Contemporary Art Award (CCAA), continued by M+ as the Sigg Prize, and the CCAA Art Critic Award in 2007. He is a member of the M+ Acquisitions Committee; the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the International Advisory Council of Tate. He is also the Honorary Director of China Foreign Investment Association, Beijing, and Founder and Honorary member of the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Dr Sigg holds a PhD in Law from the Universität Zürich.

John Witt is Chairman of Hongkong Land Holdings and chairs the Company's Investment, Nominations and Remuneration Committees. He was the Group Managing Director of Jardine Matheson Holdings, a diversified Asia-focused group, until December 2025, having joined the Group in 1993. Witt served as Chairman of DFI Retail Group, Chairman of Jardine Cycle & Carriage, and Managing Director of Mandarin Oriental International. He was a Commissioner of PT Astra International and served as the Chairman of Astra's Executive Committee. From 2016 to 2020, he was Group Finance Director of Jardine Matheson and previously held a number of senior positions throughout Jardine Matheson's portfolio of companies.

Yeewan Koon is Associate Dean (Global), Chair of the Department of Art History at the University of Hong Kong, and Director of two MA programmes in Art History and Museum Studies at The University of Hong Kong. She is the author of Nara Yoshitomo (translated into Japanese and Korean), A Defiant Brush: Su Renshan and the Politics of Painting in 19th Century Guangdong, ‘A Chinese Canton? Painting the Local in Export Art’, and ‘Where Are We Now? M+ and the Uncertain Future of Hong Kong’, among other publications. Her current research includes co-editing the nineteenth century volume of The Cultural History of Asian Art Project (Courtauld Institute) and developing the Hong Kong Art Timeline website. She has been awarded a Fulbright Senior Fellowship, an American Council of Learned Societies Fellowship, and visiting scholarships at Cambridge and Columbia Universities.

András Szántó advises museums, foundations, educational institutions, and corporations worldwide on cultural strategy and programme development. He earned his PhD in Sociology from Columbia University. A widely published author, his writings have appeared in The New York Times, Artforum, Artnet News, and The Art Newspaper, among other publications. As a consultant, he advises some of the world’s leading cultural institutions and corporate art programmes. Born in Budapest, he has curated exhibitions on Hungarian art of the 1960s and 1970s. His most recent books are The Future of the Museum (2020), Imagining the Future Museum (2022), and The Future of the Art World (2026). He lives in Brooklyn.
