M+ Game Night:
Gaming with the Developers

It’s game time! Join M+ for the culmination of Game Atlas, a week-long celebration of events on indie game development. Experience videogames as they are meant to be experienced–through play.

Videogames thrill, delight, and challenge our minds. Have you wondered how games are designed? How would developers react to the ways in which players advance through a game? Hear from three indie game developers who will share their background stories and discuss their design perspectives.

Jump onboard for a live ‘play’ session. Lucky participants will be invited to play a handpicked section of games with us live on stage. There will be developer commentaries to accompany each player’s progress to help viewers understand the design decisions within the featured games: A Perfect Day by Deng Buran; Word Game by Team 9; and Forgetter by Yang Jing (Allison) and Alan Kwan (Sometimes Monastery).

The session of Word Game will be conducted in Mandarin. All other sessions will be held in English. Simultaneous interpretation will be available. Click on ‘Register’ to sign up for this hybrid event taking place at the Grand Stair, M+ or to receive the link and participate via Zoom.
