Calm your mind and discover yourself through ‘slow looking’ and appreciating a selected work.
The tour is based on slow looking to provide an opportunity to appreciate and look deeply at a work of art. M+ Educators will guide you to slow down and allow awareness to come to the present. You will spend a prolonged period of time with one work, discovering and noticing subtle details. A different work will be explored during each tour, giving you a unique experience during every visit.
New insights may emerge. You may find your own thoughts and feelings and connect with lived experiences and memories. Appreciating art is a skill that can be learned and cultivated. M+ Educators will invite you to share your perspectives and listen to others’ insights in a dialogue. Through this exchange, you will discover diverse ways to appreciate art while deepening self-understanding and cultivating empathy.
The tours will look at works from Shanshui: Echoes and Signals between July and September 2024.
Ticket holders or M+ Members can click ‘Register’ for pre-booking or join the drop-in event onsite.
