Tour: Visit M+ Sigg Collection: Inner Worlds
When life brings changes and challenges, how can we express complex emotions in our inner world? Come explore feelings of calm, joy, confusion, tension, and sadness through artworks with our educators. Connecting with these artworks makes us more aware of our own emotions as we go through life’s ups and downs, revealing the strength of self-care through creative expression.
Workshop:
Let’s take our invisible emotions and turn them into something we can see and touch. We will observe and discover what our feelings are like and express them visually, making them visible and tangible. Then, we will create a ‘place’ for these emotions where our minds can ground themselves and find peace.

Visits to Dream Rooms: Environments by Women Artists 1950s–Now
This activity is specifically designed for special schools and registered charitable or non-profit organisations focused on rehabilitation services or supporting persons with disabilities, offering a range of sensory viewing and creative making experiences.
Is art only meant to be appreciated with our eyes?
During this sensory voyage, M+ Educators will lead participants to open their senses to all that we see, listen, and touch. By immersing ourselves in the realm of ‘dreams’ in the exhibition, we will explore how bodily experiences influence our understanding and feelings towards our surroundings. Building on the tour, participants will also experiment with the creative use of materials with various textures in the post-tour activity, discovering the wondrous connection between materials and emotions while weaving their personal stories.
Programme period: October to December 2025
Date: Selected Wednesdays and Saturdays
Time: 9:30 or 9:45
Duration: Approximately 120 min.
This activity is tailored for social service organisations. It includes an interactive briefing session that introduces the Dream Rooms exhibition, allowing visiting groups to explore the exhibition at their own pace.
Crossing through dreamscapes, participants are invited to explore various sensations and find resonance. Encounter the female perspectives through the unique artistic language of female artists, exploring social issues, materials, and sensory experiences through their creations. Within a sensorial realm interwoven with space, lights and shadows, moving image, and sound, participants are prompted to sense bodily reactions and responses, discovering a collective perceptual experience in art appreciation that transcends languages.
The event consists of two parts:
- Orientation: M+ instructors will provide an overview of the exhibition and the content of the artworks.
- Self-guided Visit: Participants can leisurely view the artworks and videos at their own pace, immersing themselves in the sensory environment created by the artworks. They can also interact and engage with others during the experience.
Programme period: November to December 2025
Date: Selected Wednesdays and Saturdays
Time: 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 14:00, or 15:00
Duration: Approximately 120 min.
To encourage audiences of all ages to explore diverse creative territories within visual culture, M+ also works in collaboration with The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) as a community partner to invite families from different backgrounds to Family Day from October to December to participate in drop-in activities echoing the Dream Rooms exhibition, including live musical performances and body movement activities led by artists. Fostering connection and growth through play and art, children and adults can begin a joint path to self-discovery using their bodies and voices as a vessel to engage with the surrounding world. Simultaneously, M+ Educators will become storytellers, sharing tales exploring themes such as dreams, birth, and the body with families.

Facilitated by M+ Educators, participants will uncover the essence of Picasso’s creativity and explore the parallels with the works of the Asia artists featured in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Picasso for Asia—A Conversation, highlighting their distinctive expressions and the ways they draw from daily life, much like Picasso did. Followed by a making workshop after the tour, participants will also get the chance to express themselves with their creativity inspired by the artists.
