What does a liveable community look like in your mind? Come join the M+ Educators on a journey through different community and civic architecture projects in the galleries. Together, we will explore how architectural designs respond to the various needs of community members, meanwhile reflecting on our own living environments and needs. We will also look at the imaginative ideas of architects and designers, as we uncover the diverse possibilities for the future of our shared spaces.
Workshop:
Step into the shoes of a "community designer"! Let’s think about what we need in a community using our personal experiences as the starting point, then work together to bring our ideal to life.

Tour: Visiting Sigg Galleries
Calm your mind and discover yourself through ‘slow looking’ and appreciating a selected work.
The tour is based on slow looking to provide an opportunity to appreciate and look deeply at a work of art. M+ Educators will guide you to slow down and allow awareness to come to the present. You will spend a prolonged period of time with one work, discovering and noticing subtle details.
New insights may emerge. You may find your own thoughts and feelings and connect with lived experiences and memories. Appreciating art is a skill that can be learned and cultivated. M+ Educators will invite you to share your perspectives and listen to others’ insights in a dialogue. Through this exchange, you will discover diverse ways to appreciate art while deepening self-understanding and cultivating empathy.

Why explore the creative genius of Picasso? While many recognise his unique style—abstract forms, bold colours, and innovative techniques like collages—his creativity extends beyond just visual appeal. Facilitated by M+ Educators, participants will uncover the essence of Picasso’s creativity and explore the parallels with the works of the Asia artists featured in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Picasso for Asia—A Conversation, highlighting their distinctive expressions and the ways they draw from daily life, much like Picasso did. Followed by a making workshop after the tour, participants will also get the chance to express themselves with their creativity inspired by the artists.
