Programmes for Social Service Organisations 社會服務機構活動
Our programmes provide interactive experiences for service targets of social service organisations. Facilitated by museum educators, they are easy entry points for everyone to create their own connections with the M+ collections. Through this platform for the exchange of ideas, participants can gain alternate perspectives from others and learn to appreciate their own opinions.
Guided Visits to the M+ Collection
Join a conversational visit to the M+ galleries! Discover behind-the-scenes stories about highlighted objects from the M+ Collection, including their makers and artists. The interactive ‘Guided Visits to the M+ Collection’ are available in various themes, each telling a different story about visual culture from a unique perspective.
Date: Selected Wednesdays and Saturdays
Time: 10:15 or 11:45
Duration: Approximately 60 min.
Location: M+ galleries
Group size: Max. 25 participants per session (including companions and staff)
Audience:
- Welfare service units managed or funded by the Social Welfare Department (please refer to Social Welfare Department website for the list of subsidized welfare service units); and
- Elder Academies established with support from the Labour and Welfare Bureau and Elderly Commission
- Agency Members of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (for Social Service Organisations, Self-Help Groups, Uniform Groups only)
For special schools and registered charitable or non-profit organisations related to rehabilitation services or persons with disabilities, please visit Access Tours and Workshops for details.

Fee: Free of charge
- Participants can continue their visit at M+ after the event. Please reserve the time and arrange supporting staff and companions to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.

Bookings are available in phases. The guided visits have a limited quota and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Onboard a ‘home design’ journey and see how design objects on display in the museum relate to our daily lives. Together, we will look at daily objects and discuss what makes a ‘good’ design by exploring the ideas that designers put into practice.

M+ Special Exhibition Programmes
Overview
The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Noir & Blanc—A Story of Photography is the first M+ exhibition dedicated to exploring the medium of photography and also the opening programme of the French May Arts Festival, is co-presented by M+ and the French May Arts Festival, in collaboration with the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF). The exhibition and the Jockey Club Community Outreach and Arts Education Programme are exclusively sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
In this guided tour led by a photographic artist, participants will embark on a journey to explore a captivating collection of black and white photography works spanning from 1915 to 2019. Created by over 170 internationally renowned photographers, these artworks offer a glimpse into howphotographers skilfully capture the diverse facets of society through camera lenses. Throughout the tour, participants will also see how photographers continuously challenge the boundaries of their craft and forge their own distinctive creative styles.
The guided tour will also feature simple photography activities, designed to inspire participants to view their surroundings from a fresh perspective. Drawing inspiration from the photographers' creative practices, participants are encouraged to share their own interpretations of the world through their creations.

Past Programmes
Led by museum educators, participants will discover Madame Song's multiple identities in the realms of art, business, fashion and culture in China, and her contribution on intercultural exchange through objects from the 1980s to the 2000s, including garments from prominent fashion designers, movie costumes and footage, artworks, and rare archival materials. The tour will also investigate the development and transformation of women’s identity and lifestyle in modern society. It will be followed by an interactive workshop for participants to explore the different roles and identities that they play in life which help increase their sense of self-worth.

Overview
Led by museum educators, the guided visit takes participants through artist Yayoi Kusama’s career-long creative pouring. Participants will be encouraged to take a closer look at and be inspired by Kusama’s works that are on display to gain confidence in expressing themselves. The guided visit will be followed by an activity-based workshop.
We are grateful for the support of HSBC, the first Lead Partner of M+, which makes it possible for our Guided Visits for Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now to be free for social service organisations.
